is an innovative program currently being piloted by the Department of Education and Training Western Sydney Region in conjunction with IBM, the University of Sydney's Science Foundation for Physics and the Australian Catholic University.

In MyScience, primary students experience enhanced engagement and learning through authentic scientific investigation.

The project provides structured support for primary teachers in science and technology as they teach their students to investigate as scientists do.

Scientist mentors from the community support students throughout the scientific investigation process along with apprentice student mentors from the nearby high schools.

Primary students submit their findings to the Young Scientist Award scheme. The program culminates in a science fair and celebration at the schools.

This year's MyScience participants include at least 600 students, 100 mentors, about 20 teachers and 8 schools in its first phase including:

Beecroft, Beresford Road, Marayong Heights, Quakers Hill, Quakers Hill East, Samuel Terry, Braddock, Londonderry

A second phase will commence in the second half of the year in Beresford Road, Quakers Hill East, Baulkham Hills North, Ermington and Melrose Park public schools.
